Bronze Medal Winners from Toronto
Day 6 is finished at the 2009 World Police and Fire Games. Yesterday there were lots of medal rounds here at the Burnaby Lake West Sports Complex. In Women’s Soccer 3 Canadian Team won Gold, Silver and Bronze.
The ladies that stopped to visit played for the Calgary team, but are from Toronto.
We have seen many medalists over the past few days. We visited with the gold medalist for wakeboarding from the Czech Republic. It’s cool that wakeboarding is now a medal worthy sport. My kids all love it and Dave has a great time trying to dump them in the drink.
Elmo and the Midland boys from England were the hit of the day. These gentlemen are rugby players and we didn’t get the story of Elmo, but he’s been around for the past few days. Some of the visitors have such a great sense of humour.
We have chatted with people from all over the world. Most people are more than willing to stop and chat, however we did find that the boys from Italy weren’t very friendly.
Have you ever spoken with someone from New York? Some of the hockey players from New York stopped and they were some of the most difficult to understand.
Everyone loves the concept of our pouches. The idea that they naturally remove the smell and moisture from wherever they are placed is very well received by everyone.
